Reduced Fare General Information |

Reduced fare is available to passengers who qualify based on one of the following conditions:
- Senior – Age 65 or older
- Youth – Age 6 to 18
- Disability
- Low Income
To receive reduced fare you must have a reduced fare identification card. These cards can be obtained at the Kitsap Transit’s Customer Service office located at the Bremerton Transportation Center (Bremerton Ferry Terminal). You MUST provide proof of any one of the following conditions to receive the identification card:
- Senior – Age 65 or older with valid ID and completed Regional Reduced Fare Permit Application, click here to download the application (pdf) ($3 processing or replacement fee)
- Youth – Age 6 to 18 with valid ID or accompanied by parent or guardian
- Disability – Only one of the following forms of verification is necessary and a completed Regional Reduced Fare Permit Application, click here to download the application (pdf) ($3 processing or replacement fee)
- Currently receives Social Security Disability Benefits or Supplemental Security Income Benefits due to disability (Temporary)
- Certified by the Veteran’s Administration at a 40% or greater disability level
- Has a valid Medicare card issued by the Social Security Administration (Temporary)
- Has a valid Regional ADA Paratransit Card
- Has a valid ADA Paratransit card from outside the region (Temporary)
- Persons without any of the above may still qualify if they have an obvious physical impairment and/or physician verification of disability.
- Is currently enrolled by a Washington State Individual Educational Program (IEP) (Temporary)
- Low Income – Only one of the following forms of verification is necessary
- Award letter from SSI, DSHS, Medical coupon, Food assistance documentation (Note: EBT Quest cards do not qualify as proof - must provide paperwork issued by DSHS)
- Low income housing paperwork
- Letter from a public shelter
- Letter from Work Release
- Voucher from public assistance agency
