What is Travel Training?
Kitsap Transit's Bus Travel Training program is a free, self-paced training service for people who want to learn to travel independently using the regular accessible fixed route bus system.
Kitsap Transit is committed to providing the information and support you need to feel comfortable and successful using our transportation services.
Travel Training can give you the freedom to explore Kitsap County and beyond. Use your new skills and experience riding the bus to get out and have fun!
Who Are the Trainers?
Our volunteer trainers are ACCESS and Routed customer service staff. All of our trainers have completed an extensive program to prepare them to serve as Travel Trainers.
Once you experience the confidence and independence to travel on public transit you'll gain the freedom and flexibility to travel when and where you'd like.
What Can I Expect to Learn?
You can expect to learn hands on step by step - step instructions on the basics of bus riding.
