State Route 303 Study

Kitsap Transit conducted a study that will ultimately result in the development of some realistic short and long range transit improvements between Bremerton and Silverdale.  The primary objective is to determine what high-capacity transit (HCT) options and facilities would be most appropriate for along SR 303 (Warren Ave., Wheaton Way, and Waaga Way).  The options currently being studied are 1) bus rapid transit (BRT), 2) light rail transit (LRT), and 3) monorail.  As the study resumes in 2011, more information will be posted on this web page. The corridor study area will expand to include the Kitsap Transit Foot Ferry and the Port Orchard/Bethel corridor.
